About the Event

Brianne Sanchez is a writer, facilitator, and collaborator who seeks to amplify inspiring ideas and support social sector projects. She started her career as a journalist and believes everyone has a compelling story. Brianne's later work in higher education and with the nonprofit & philanthropic sector centered around growing community engagement and capacity-building initiatives. Core values of curiosity, empathy, inclusivity, and creativity guide her work and civic leadership.

Brianne holds undergraduate degrees in journalism and English from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a Masters of Public Administration from Drake University. She was part of a core group of volunteers who launched YNPN Des Moines and is currently chair of the Des Moines Public Library Foundation board and serves on The Avenues of Ingersoll & Grand board.

Brianne is married to Joe Jayjack (Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation) and has two kids in Des Moines Public Schools. When she's not serving clients, her family likes to ride bikes, read, and explore in nature.

Location Details: The event will be hosted in Conference Room F in the United Way of Central Iowa Conference Center. Parking information:Parking lots are located to the north, south, and in front of the UWCI Human Service Campus building. There is also parking on 9th Street and overflow parking in DMACC’s north Lot F. Please do not park in Des Moines Area Community College’s other parking lots.
